The Transition from Middle School
Get set for a great high school career. The next four years will bring about many changes and opportunities for you to grow both academically and personally. Take advantage of the many clubs and sports at your high school. Have a new idea for a club? Find likeminded students and ask a teacher to run it and it can happen!

Plan of Action |
•Seek advice and teacher feedback: Grades are important in ninth grade. Challenge yourself! If you get a bad grade, accept it as constructive criticism, really read (or listen) to your teacher's comments and figure out how to do better.
•Read Read Read: Books, newspapers, magazines, blogs – choose what engages you and remember to look up unfamiliar words. •Get involved in your high school community: Not only are you developing talents and interests that will catch a college's eye, but also school is more fun when you have activities to look forward to. •Use social media wisely: Be responsible. What you post will follow you – which could be a good or bad thing. |
